Steve, I use Metastock data all of the time.  As Don says there is nothing special to do when using the Metastock plug-in.  To see if things had changed, I just made a new database without any problem and displayed all data.  Suggest you start from scratch and follow the database creation

Chuck, You can absolutely trust this software, but it (like any software) is only as good as the formulas you write. It takes time to line how to program. If you just want to manually place trades via a chart, you might want to consider quotetracker. It has a simple trading interface and charts
