Barrie,
If I understand your post correctly, the relays
you intend to use are part of an antenna tuner.
Asumming the relays are rated for your need, think
about the maximum voltage, and current that the
interconnects must withstand. If
Well, I wish to thank all for the advice regarding mounting and wiring the
small relays to perfboard.
I just finished mounting one relay completely. According to my DVM, it's
working just right. I have three more (minimum) to mount. Relative to the
amount of time it took me to do one (grante

That's the way I do it. Don't use perfboard, much though.

Ouch! Their price for Vero Board is out the roof!

It would probably be cheaper to buy it from the U.K. directly!

I did a google on Vero board and came up with a company called "Abra
Electronics" in New York.
I'll give them a call tomorrow and see what's up.

Hi Barrie;
Maybe I don't understand you but if I do; what you want is readily
available. It is a perf board with a copper pattern on one side. It comes
in various patterns from single holes to IC patterns. See Radio Shack #

Not sure if they still carry it, but Radio Shack sells/sold something
very similar, in different sizes. I haven't bought any for a few
years. Might be worth a look.
Good luck, George

No, nothing like it.
The FT200 was about the same as a Tempo One.
FT100D is a small, newer sand state rig.
That is exactly the way I build a lot of stuff Barrie.

For those that don't know, Vero board or Stripboard is perfboard with a
copper strip the entire length of each horizontal row of holes. Cuts are
made to break the horizontal strip with a special cutting tool, or a d

Barrie, you can buy push pins specially made to fit tightly into those
perf board holes and then solder your connections and parts
directly to the stakes/pins. It is a popular way of anchoring things to
perf board. I prefer a metal chassis and terminal boards for larger
tube stuff.
However, f
