The only stations I ever hear on 3870 are the SSB'ers. They are on most of the time. I quite often hear some guys on 3880 on the east side of Texas running AM and they sound good, I have never tried to check in with them, do to my lack of a good AM transmitter or power. Bow W5EFR -Origin
