In terms of a small compact, SSB satellite station, you can work the SSB
birds with a single FT817. It is more difficult than having full duplex, but
it can be done. I have done it plenty of times with similar radios.

ow that someone is already talking so they start making
calls. I have heard quite a few stations more or less call CQ on the
satellite and they must not hear it very well because I can hear several
stations come back to them and they just keep CQing instead.

Who was the EN96 on today on the 2200Z pass of AO51? I thought I copied it as
VE3TYN but according to QRZ.COM that isn't correct.
Just picked up a Kenwood TM-251A and it sure hears the sats great. Glad I got
it to use on the FM birds.

their cargo. He will likely leave the ship shortly and return home
for a well deserved vacation. He has certainly gone all out to
work the birds in hundreds of wet grids. Thanks Yuri!

Hi,
For a small club
Spring is here, time to change antennas. For sale 22XB and 738XB
circular pol. antennas. 2 meter one works great but the 440 one doesn't
seem right. Maybe needs new phasing lines. $200 for the pair. I have the
assembly manuals and all parts seem to be there. Located in EL99bf.

should send their SASE to the qrz.com address for KB8NW.
If there are any rare grid operations on the birds over the
weekend, I will obviously yield the bird to them.
