Not true, Linux requires that there's a space, but DOS works either way.
However a path in a program will require that there's no space regardless
of OS

Sometimes I have found URL's that are incorrectly written. For example:

as a space.
AFAIAC, anyone who uses a blank space for a directory name should be

When you get the message, "Does not exist on this server," look up in the URL
window and you will see:
www.voter.com/%20/home/0,1126,2--,00.html
This is the problem!
Delete %20/ and hit the return key and the page will display.
