regarding the topic...
i noticed some issues on my beryl install
can't stretch (resize) windows, only works correctly in the upper left
corner
next issue, window decorator icons for maximizing, x-ing etc have a
strange shift
when i want to click the x button, the maximize button gets clicked

compiz-fusion and compiz-fusion-git from nesl247's repo - none run
with Xorg 7.3 (but not xorg-server 1.4 and libx11 from testing) and
Gnome 2.20.
I get black desktop, no window manager and decorator working, though
gnome panel,
