Title: ARS 4.0

Hi List,
We have ARS 4.0 running in HP-UX 10.x and Oracle 7.3. We are planning to migrate the system to HP-UX 11.x and Oracle 8.1
Can any one help on what would be the impact ? Is there any change (software) required ? Is ARS 4.0 compatible with Oracle 8.1
Appreciate if

This might be a bit late, but for those of you coming to the BMC UserWorld, if

The user.log-file has the information you need to determine if you should

What you might try is a view field. If the field is size just right and

Your thinking is correct as far as the math goes... However, I am

Maybe you simply have workflow that is throwing an error message

Ok.. I think I see a few misconceptions in your attempts to fix this

I was thinking more basic/fundamental. Filters support TR. field name
prefixes for specifically this purpose. It's the transaction value (vs.
DB. or database value). If TR. value is not null, it's been changed (i.e.
different from the database value).
In your example, your Run If would include

Hi,
Just for the record...
The following qualification does not verify that a field has been changed:

You should rather use something like this:

If you like to perform the check only if the field has been changed to

Misi,
You beat me to it. :-)
I think the common misconception here
is the belief that the TR value will have a value only if the field

action, then TR.field will have a value regardless if it has changed
or not. You can see

I take that you checked this. I was under the

I guess that you can use the TR-value if you like, but is usually not
required.
You could use either of these syntaxes with the same result:
('field' != 'DB.filed' AND 'field' != $NULL$)
('field' != 'DB.filed' AND 'TR.field' != $NULL$)
Depending on what client and version you are useing, fields
