We have just installed ITSM (Incident, Problem, Change, CMDB, Asset), AR
Server V7.1, all with latest patches. OS is MS Win Server 2003 R2 with
SQL2005 Ent.
It is part of our install process, after the initial install, to change
the default password for ARAdmin but we get a SQL erro

looking at the Notification engine. Note there is some *** awful
workflow here.
Check out (at a minimum) SYS:Notification Messages, NTE:SYS-Define NT
Events, NTE:CFG Notification Events and filters on the 800 range ending
in Ch
What version(s) of Vista will that work with? I haven't got it yet, but I'm
figuring it's just a matter of time.

Hi,
I am new to remedy, please help!!! I am trying to integrate LDAP
server with the AR Server. I want to download the users in the LDAP system
and map them into the AR System User form. How do I do this. I read the
guides and found out that I need to fill in the ARDBC and AREA plugin form
I know it isn't on the compatibility matrix, but does anyone have any
success loading AR System server (any version) on any version/configuration
of MS Vista?

I havent tried this in particular. We were able to get a crystal reports
server (version 11) to work and I remembered making sure that this was setup
properly.
I would also set the password you use for that Crystal ID as well in the Report
Type Run Command as well.

I thought the Server Name that was inserted in URLs for Notifications was
inserted from the Server value on the Connection tab of whatever Registry
Name entry in the CAI Application Registry form. Maybe that's only the

Did you embed the Crystal report into a record in the Report form?

My stupid mistake!
I was working in our test system, but in the configuration I had "Report
Server" set to the live system. The reason the report wasn't displaying the
report was that the "Report" entry wasn't defined in the live system.
I seem to make that same mistake at least once a year.
We have two servers (both version 7.0.1 patch 5 on windows VMs) set up in
a server group. When email notifications are sent out, the AR Server part
of the link has the server group alias and the domain. There are two

forms. It appears that Remedy does not generate new IDs, but keeps
the same IDs - so if you have "existing" SLAs on your server and you
bring over NEW SLAs via export/import it will not work.
