You should (almost) never use the admin tool on the CMDB forms (eg BMC.CORE:BMC_ComputerSystem), leave these to be updated via the CMDB Console/cmdbdriver. The only time this statement could be disobeyed is if you only have CMDB in your environment. Creation of new views holding any customisations

When we were mapping that out, we made Remedy be a SoftwareServer. We also included SoftwareServers for the database servers (the database software, not the hardware) and made the Databases depend on the Software Servers. But then, we were tracking more information about databases in general.

Yes.. Truncate table ; This does not require a commit. Once truncated data cannot be rolled back so be careful when you use it. It is an immediate action. Truncate clears the what's commonly known as 'the high water mark' of a table in a database thus shrinking the size in case it was a huge tab
