Charlie, The easiest fix on a windows system is to use the AR System ODBC Driver instead of the Oracle (or other database) driver. The AR System driver is simply an odbc presentation to the remedy api and thus the byte data comes back converted. -Matt Kunkel

Check your process timeout parameter in the server information. This usually results in a timeout error being logged, but it can cause the server to abandon run processes. I'd also check to make sure that the user your remedy server is running as has permissions to the arimportcmd executable. -M
