Before installing I tnsping the new database.
When the installer asks me for the ARAdmin password to the database I give it

There is a point during the install that it asks for the 'database'
login/password. It's separate from the Remedy database login, it asks for
that too. It's the Oracle system login to Oracle that your dba will
supply. It's easy to get this all confused.
I'm suprised it didn't stop

Dwayne,
TWO_TASK variable is required if you're connecting to a remote database.
There is a history of a bug in the install scripts with the password for
aradmin. In certain versions, you were prompted
