To get bridging to work on the interface, edit users.conf with
BRIDGE1=eth1 eth2
My error was editing rc.conf rather than users.conf and using capitals
for eth.

for a fax to work, however a file, I believe chan_sip.c is also required
to be edited in Asterisk 1.4.22 for fax to work. Trying to work out how
