Finally some sanity!
FLAC vs WAV are mathematically identical and neither the compression
or decompression processes introduce error of any sort. If this
wasn't true of any lossless compression regime, we'd all know about it

LL compression is used on the wire to minimise bandwidth

I'm not a DIYer (with electronics), I think it's obvious how nicely

I got no response in one of the other forums, so I will try here.

The nice thing about the McIntosh - there's not much of a learning

Hi All
I am fully aware how broad this question is...! In a nutshell, I have
15 feet runs that I need to replace. I'm not looking to spend much over
$150. Currently driving some mid range B W's.
No idea about which manufactures I should be looking at for this price
range. Any hints welcomed.
I use Kimber Kable 4TC that I am very satisfied with. I am unsure if it
will fit your budget, though.

There is no designed-in maximum number of tracks or albums, so there
should be no limit. I'm not sure why your system isn't scanning some

I like the look of Kimber, the TC range is abit out of my price range

ezkcdude I'll look out for your opinion in the next week.
I'm currently Biwiring using Cable Talk runs BTW. I'm taking the step

I've also been considering the speltz anti-cable, and also the Guerilla
cable and Signal Ultra for a bedroom system. The anti-cable fits your
budget and the signal is pretty close, the guerilla a bit more.
someone just sold the signal ultra bi-wire (shotgun) 12' on a'gon for

I have had some Nordost stuff, QED Silver Annivery, VDH Clearwater and

Yes! many audiophiles swear by them and were even reviewed by TAS, I
believe. The cable is orange. I biwire my Vandies with it. Sounds great

I was considering the anti-cables but I have longer runs which made them
cost prohibitive. I just purchased from bluejeanscable.com and am happy
with the value/price for my needs. They just arrived today so can't

And it's not like using EAC for secure rips is a constant struggle.
Spend 30 minutes setting it up right, and you're done. This McIntosh
may not be able to do it at all.

I recently bought the A23, after 22+ years using a Haffler 220. Very
nice sound.
The A23 has adjustable input levels - knobs on the back, separate for
left and right, so not useful as volume controls (use the Adcom for
that). Need an accurate meter if you want to ensure L/R balance.
Turning
search for white noise or white noise death in the general forum.
I think it can still happen in rare cases, and some kind of attenuator
should be used.
