Ah, rereading the first post I see the sneaky change from the
thread-subject ;-)
Now, the fun thing to do is compare that square-wave on SB output to
what you see on the amp's output, on the speaker-termi

I love these threads because I end up reading webpage that bubble up
from Google with all sorts of information that I didn't know yet.
I think it was Pat who mentioned variable pitch on vinyl so that the
groove gets a bit more space for loud passages etc. What I found is

Let me just say this categorically... a wired or wireless connection has
absolutely no effect on the "sound" of any of our players. None.
Now a bad network connection may make a song stop, or re-sync, but
that's it. Wired or wireless the actual music file is actually sent to
the player, cached in

It seems logical and accurate. I agree with you.

Hi Everyone.
I run my SB3 wired - I prefer the sound !
All of my music is flac.
SB3 volume is disabled (ie fixed to 100%) as the sound degrades
considerably when the SB3 volume control is used - the music just
becomes flat & lifeless. I prefer to control volume further down the
line.

Additional information (regarding my immediately previous post):
I've been looking to various dacs these days, I'm not trying to replace
my own dac (that I find ok for the price I've paid - used), I was just
trying to keep up with market's new models and tendencies, especially
on the mid-high pric

Well, the picture still goes to the TV :-)
Since the speakers are directly connected to the TP, the only way to
get a signal to them is via the TP. That was the whole poin

Phil,
