Yes that works perfectly for 24/192 FLAC files streamed as FLAC.
But 24/192 FLAC files transcoded to WAV/PCM on the server do not play,
as they are not
Thanks John.
Good luck!

I own a transporter and two touches. The TP is easily my top pick. I
do like the touch a lot though. Having previously owned two
duet/controllers, I feel the touch is a big improvement. Besides the
touch's improved sound, my duet remotes often seemed slow and seemed to

+1 on Blue Jeans Cable. High quality at a reasonable price

If you use BNC just be sure you get

I have a simple way to turn off the screen completely, it stops all the
signals going to the display, unfortunately the Touch crashes after

Hi
No experience of the Transporter, but I have had a Duet for some time
and then took a gamble to upgrade to a Touch - the sound is noticeably
better, I control it with the Duets remote so I get the best of both
worlds, the Touchscreen is a waste of a touchscreen IMHO!. If I were

Yes, how can those files be played in best possible quality with a
squeezebox system?
I also bought and downloaded some 24bit/44,1kHz WAV tracks from

robust due to usage of none ideal cable HW. So best is to stick on

Except for the new 192/24 tracks from Linn with high FLAC compression
ratio, which needs to be re-encoded with level-3 (?) compression,
right?

Must you "understand" it to enjoy the music? This subject was beaten to
death on all audiophile forums on Earth. If you here the difference
then there is one if not then why bother?
I personally can hear small differences, not night and day but still
there. And yes even the digital cables can soun
I really cannot understand how 2 digital outputs can differ in a way
that you can hear the difference. I know that jitter is an issue, but
until now nobody could tell me how jitter sounds. How does a dac sound
if the digital signal is bad? You hear maybe clics or pops, maybe you
hear just silence.

Hard to go wrong with FLAC Native on the Transporter. Looks to me that
the biggest problem you have are all those misspelled words in SBS,
hope that doesn't spread over to the TP ;=}
Just joking of course, but we are on the Audiophile Forum so somebody
is going to come out with an article about h

Okay, do I understand this correctly:
Conversion settings "FLAC - PCM" or "FLAC - native" doesn't really
matter and audio-quality will just be the same?
I'd prefer "FLAC - native" then.

Ignore that "converted to" bitrate, it's not accurate, just a guess.

Hi all!
I have a question about high quality tracks on the Transporter.
Recently I downloaded some demo tracks from the Studio Masters from the
Linn HiFi website.
My example track for this thread has 24bit / 96kHz which has 3108kbit/s
in result.
Somewhere else is the forum I read that SbS can d

My experience of high-end seems to be that plenty of money goes on the
looks when I'd rather it went on the function.

I'm based just south of Swindon and have both Touch and TP. If you
