BTW - I rip to wav at 8x speed with AudioGrabber. I couldn't get the EAC ripper (which is often recommended) to work. I then use 'Flac Frontend', along with the regular FLAC encoder, to convert to FLAC. -- Codmate

It depends on the chipset in your soundcard. I rate the VIA Envy chipset in my Delta66 card quite highly and prefer it to the sound of my Squeezebox's RCA outs. The Squeezebox is superb for bedroom/kitchen etc use; but if you're looking for hi-fi, the Transporter is there for you. -- Codmate
