Here's a link to a review of the Synchro-Mesh
http://www.6moons.com/audioreviews/empirical4/1.html
I'm a bit skeptical myself but I sent an email to the reviewer asking
him what he thought of the Touch>Synchro-Mesh>DAC combo vs
PC>Audiophilleo>DAC setup. He suggested that since I'm a long time

Then the Synchro-Mesh serves no purpose.

So I have to decide if I go:
a) EDO > Touch USB out > Audiophilleo/Pure Power > DAC
b) TT 3.0 > Touch S/PDIF out > Synchro-Mesh (with possible PS upgrade)

Sorry if this has been covered but I couldn't find anything.
24/96 is more than enough for my ears so I'm not really interested in
the 24/192 aspect here.
1) Can I use the Touch USB output with an Audiophilleo? Do I need to
install EDO?
2) Theoretically(or empirically) would this setup be an imp

discussing HW mods but then again Klaus himself also included a few HW
recommendations in his TT 3.0 blog.
In any case besides the endless buffer tweaking nobody appears to have
much left to contribute regarding the SW aspect of the discussion.

So if I wanted to experiment I'd need to buy a 2m terminated cable of
equal quality and then try and sell the "loser" or maybe sell both
terminated cables and keep the 1ft length.
Conclusion: DIY experimenting is fun but can end up b

this.
And what about internal circuits in DACs, CD players, etc? Surely they
don't have 1.5m of cable snaking around inside the case.

I was just pondering that idea myself. I have a decent cable that I use
only for the Touch and wouldn't mind chopping one end off and hardwiring
to the board if it meant an improvement. However I would hate to do that
just to find out that it makes t
ic in a relaxed state of mind.

Good photos seem to be rare around here. I didn't take any of the third
party mods on my other SB. I might eventually do it and post them but I
have a moral dilemma(albeit small) with that.
Will have to check with my

around the PCB instead of squeezing them between it and the back panel.
You'll understand once you're in there.

I noticed that with SB3 volume is louder on many internet stations than
when playing FLAC files from my PC's hard drive. Is this normal? I even
find that SQ seems better on some stations compared to FLAC files. What
could explain this?
