, the concept of the direct connection being an improvement over an 802.11g Ethernet connection doesn't seem like too big a stretch but I admit it's not apples to apples because the SS software only works with the SB3 and the iTunes software only works with the direct connection. -- creativepart

to fit the SB3. I have a box of old wall-warts and found a plug that fit and replaced the factory plug from the hosfelt.com power supply. Did I notice a difference? Not at all. Zero difference. I did get an external Dac and this has made a massive improvement. -- creativepart

I haven't checked it out yet, but I was told that the Max application (http://sbooth.org/Max/) can do all this on the fly for Macs -- make two versions at the same time. I could have understood it wrong but it seems to claim to do something like this. -- creativepart

and detailed. The Gradients always come up as they have a model made for Quads. But the REL Britannia is probably a good choice too. Basically, you want a MUSIC SUB not a HT SUB. And you might want to consider adding an outboard crossover too. -- creativepart

and it looks like 1000 songs would fill the 30 gigs up. Once I get the Mac system going and full of all my CDs, I'll probably reformat my PC based Ipod to Mac and keep more high bit rate MP3s on the Ipod. Thanks for the info on that Album Art program. -- creativepart
