Level matching using instruments (not simply ones ear) is critical.
I've been fooled multiple times when comparing equipment simply because
one was a bit louder.
Ideally, to further eliminate bias, the test is performed blind.

You may not be surprised, but I'm skeptical changing the PSU in the
Duet would make a difference that can be heard. But that's just my
opinion and I honestly would like to know if anyone who believes
differently has pursued it with Logitech.

, for the first
time, was able to A-B my SQ Receiver playing a lossless WMA and the CD
it came from. Then I got out my meter and found the CD was playing
about 2-3 DB louder. I compensated and voila, I couldn't perceive a
difference.
