ROFL!
Well, maybe not rolling on the floor but still funny! That is just
awesome. That should be posted in any audiophile forum.
Narf! I don't think I've seen a better list of options for any category
anywhere.

a pic of my small setup here and to Thinkgeek

if they could potentially lift a $7 cutting board. I just know floating
components would gather awe. Would there be any issues with a magnetic
field and cabling though? Hmm...

and there is honestly more thump from the sub now. Using for
video interconnects too. This has actually been discussed if you do a
search for RG6.

I'm still trying to find a woman to accept ME let alone all my toys! Of
course I've discovered as part of my personality that I'm generally
frugal about anything but my gadgets. It's a geek's life for me.

that went to my
plasma. I'd like to replace them at some point with something small
like the Anthony Gallo spheres but not until I have a chance to mod the
T-amp. The server sits in the garage and everything is hardwired.
Is that satisfactory enough?

I'd be happier. Can't not be excited about SB and
SlimDevices in general.
Thanks for the info Sean. Thanks everyone for the lively responses on
cabling.

DVDshrink will rip DVD-A just fine. No coversions, just pulling it to
the hard drive. Check out www.doom9.org

If you'd like to send me a DVD-A disc I'd love to find out for you ;-)
I've only heard from someone who has used DVDshrink for backups but
have no personal experience with it except for movies. You can't go
wrong by trying since the software is free.

DVDshrink should pull it. Check www.doom9.org. If I'm not mistaken DVD-A
is digital whereas SACD is discrete. Feel free to correct me if I'm
wrong.

down, load a disc, wait for it to read, and start playing than it does

The speakers require a minimum 10W power so the Sonic T-amp would be
able to drive them. I'm using a T-amp with the speakers from my plasma
in the bedroom and it sounds alright. Certainly not audiophile but I
would like to try some better speakers with it.

bedroom is a whole different story! My SB2 sits atop
an old projection TV cabinet that I'm going to convert to a storage unit
for who knows what just yet with some crappy Logitech speakers.

Why not just use a large surge protector that offers seperate filtered
video and audio plugs. TrippLite makes some really good stuff. Throw in
some OFHC speaker wire and whatever interconnects you want to spend
money on and all should be well.

Get a Squeezebox because it's fast, simple, and elegant. Lesser players
are sluggish, have poorer interfaces, and will leave you wanting
especially once you try a Squeezebox.

complain though.
For Linux I've enjoyed using GRIP.
