The flaw in this argument is that people don't necessarily want listen
to hifi at volume as loud as the original instruments. To point out an
extreme example: if I want to listen to a live recording of a rock
concert, do I need 50,000 watts of amp power in my home?
Nope, just a decent amp

Well, I think that whole argument, its the amp, its the speakers, you

I agree. My 250w recommendation is pretty useless and without

Out of curiosity, what do you think are the important characteristics

Yes, Biamping is good. Especially, it provides high quality reproduction
from two not so high-quality amplifiers. For eg. two $500 amps might
sound better than a $1000 dollar amp. To a great extent it depends on
the speakers. IF the speakers have pretty flat impedence curve, then
biamping may

For normal HIFI listening in a midsize room you need at least 120W

Hi all,
I have used several amps and an interesting check is to bi amp some
speakers. This approach doubles the power available and there are
definate benefits to the sound quality in my opinion but not twice as
good. I listen to the double power system at the same volume as I do

Thanks for that tip. Turning off the replaygain (which I had not tried
before) was the difference in the volume levels between the sources.
Now, when I try the A/B switch,

There is nothing wrong with the SB3 DA converter. It sounds really
really good!
You DO NOT need an external DAC!
These is no problem with SB3 the noise level,
