if I can't figure out how to get 24/96 working with my DAC like the
Touch did. I might give the touch another try and see if the software
issues I was seeing before are ironed out now.

If you do not like the sound of Transporter, then..mod it.. or sell it

Hey guys, I just wanted to give an update: using the loop mode worked
with 24/96 material and either coax cable I had on hand, both via RCA
and BNC. I still can't get a lock on my Theta DAC using the original
cable or a Kimber DV-75 that I also have on hand for highres material.
The Transporter
Is not the old DAC a more likely culprit, it is old things drift when
aging ?
Maybe Thetas service dept has something to say ?
Btw is your transporter brand new or used ? no mods done to it ?
Open box what is that ?
There are some "clever" mods around (probably most of them) that
cripples the squ
Hey dennis55, nice avatar :) I wanted to compare the analog out to my
DAC as well, but a quick n dirty comparison isn't looking good for the
transporter so far, although I haven't tricked it out with cables or
anything.
Sean, thanks for the suggestion, the loopback idea is perfect. I'll
also try
Have you tried a different coax cable? A lot of these boutique "digital"
cables are made for form over function. Try a plain old RCA video cable.
Also, try both the RCA and BNC outputs.
I have similar concerns about the DAC. So this is an older unit that
was later converted somehow to support 24/

I meant to mention the DAC, sorry. Theta Gen Va with factory 24/96

a Stereovox XV2, which I've tried both with and without the BNC to RCA
adapter.

Hi everyone, I just got a new open-box transporter and I'm having
problems with 88.1kHz and 96kHz FLACs. They play through the analog
out, but my DAC acts like nothing is there. I'm too lazy to get out my
scope at the moment, so it could be a failure to lock and not just no
output, but 88kHz and

Gave it a try. Transporter into Krell processor into Krell amps into

Couldn't tell the difference.

Just curious, has anyone conducted an A to B comparison, with the
digital outs of the Transporter.
Any opinions on the RCA capacitor coupled out vs the transformer BNC?

Yes, I have used the passive out for quite some time. Just a second
order filter after the AKM dac's. I have also new clock and new PSU for
the dac's. These tweak's makes the behringer a very nice unit. Next up
is to replace the sample rate converter (CS8420) with a better one. The

Nice.
Just shortly i found a link about somebody cancelling the whole exit

Not exactly. I love it as my digital preamp with 2 displays and
wonderful DAC :)
You build that receiver from Jocko Homo yourself?

Thanks Wombat
That's why people prefer the Transporter. I have transformer coupled my
SB. And also added some padding resistors. Makes a nice difference.
Combined with the SPDIF reciever from Jocko Homo it's a nice combo. No
need for Transporter then.

It is transformer coupled.

So, if used with an extrenal DAC, you should not gain much in the
digital transmission (and thereby in sound quality)?

I don't think it has either of those. As far as I know, it's just a

Does anyone know how the coaxial digital out is carried out in the
Transporter? Is it transformer coupled? Any padding network etc?
