Hello,
I recently updated my Gentoo system, and the fonts used in my blingbling
widgets have visually degraded quite a bit. Neither awesome (3.4.11), nor
blingbling itself were changed, but I think my oocairo was updated from 1.3
-> 1.4.
My blingbling widgets have been edited so they respect my s

Thanks for the information. I plan on rolling back to my previous config
first and hoping that helps. I use shifty, so I'm quite a ways off from

Hey awesome people, I have just recently updated to the latest build
this evening. v3.4.10 (Exploder)
Everything went very smooth, but I have one minor annoyance. When I
launch an application, it must be "clicked" with the mouse before it
will accept input from the keyboard.

Hello,
I have recently rebuilt my Gentoo system as I had a disk crash on me.
One issue I'm having is with my new install is special characters inside the
taskbar.
The degree symbol, (° in html) in particular causes my cpu temp widget
to not display.
Has anyone had this problem and solved it? It
Thanks for the help Adrian.

Hello,
I'm hoping somebody else has experienced this problem.
Using shifty, I create new tags with Mod4+t and start typing the name of the
tag.
For example, Mod4 + t and type "www" will spawn a new tag with firefox named
"www".
For some reason I cannot type in the tag names anymore. Mod4 + t cre
It might be necessary to set your DisplaySize in xorg.conf,
or if you use modular xorg in /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/10-monitor.conf
Like so,
Section "Monitor"
Identifier"Monitor0"
DisplaySize 597 336 #in milimeters
EndSection
This will set a proper DPI.

Hello,
I'm having some issues with a widget that I made recently. When I add
it to my wibox all of my window titles are replaced with elipses ( ... ).
This widget appears to work fine beyond that exception.
Here is the widget code.

If you check your rc.lua there's a section that looks like this:

I'm curious if anyone has 3.4.7 working with shifty using multiple monitors?
I installed 3.4.7 on my gentoo box this evening and it looks like it's
having problems.
No matter which application I open, whether it's designated for screen 2 or
not, goes directly to screen 1.
I can hit (Mod4 + o) and
t;)

quot; ? I believe I've got this correct as I've got
mplay to behave
differently then Escape, but just checking.
Thanks,

Hello,
Does anyone know if there's a way to restrict an application to a single
monitor on a specific tag with lua? Or more specifically, with shifty?
I have an app that opens another small app and sends data to it on a regular
basis. I would like to place this small app's window on my second mon
