Sorry Girish,
I forgot to mention I had several lines to update and I just set one of them
as zero qty. Can you try that instead and see whether the zero line appears
on the print out with zero qty.
Thanks

ValidateWrite may not be the correct way to go for since this method will be called only if the update is being called from the form. This is why a lot tables have validations written on the update method.

What database is your web site based on? A Microsoft
SQL 2000 database?
Anyway, here is my 2 cents: Modify
Application.ttsNotifyCommit() to do the synchronization -- that way you can
ensure that transactions have been committed before you synchronize. Do it
like this:

Well this is great conversation! Thanks for your input, and
I believe that I found the Solution:
Override the ValidateWrite and ValidateDelete
methods. Adding code that would transfer the information from the SalesLine to
our Web Database at this point seems to work every time.

hi Brandon
this email is just for the sakes of complete discussion.
it is not necessary tha the update and insert methods on a table will be executed. The logic may go for doInsert and doUpdate. though I cant think of a scenario where doInsert/Update methods are called for sales table it ma

I tested the upgrade of SQLServer 7.0 to
SQLServer2000 and works well.
If I am in your situation, I do the
following:
- Install in the new machine SQLServer

- Restore de database
- Upgrade to SQLServer 2000.
Another idea is with DTS of the tables, pass all

hi
Very unusual, standard axapta should not allow this to happen.
My guess is this has got something to do with the number of decimal places on the unit. Go into the sql server and check if the quantity that appears as zero on the screen is actually zero and not something like .001234

Hello All
Is there a way to limit table variable display based on another variable similar to pre-field exclusions on enumerated text type variables?
I have a variable Customer pointing to CustTable (AccountNum field) and another variable Ship to pointing to address table (ZipCode field). I
It will default back to the RunBase.saveLast, which in turn
is doing a xSysLastValue::saveLast(), which populates the SysLastValue
table.

Dear all,
I noticed the developer's guide says to use the RunBase framework for
designing job style tasks.
When using the RunBase framework one has to implement the pack() and
unpack() methods.
I have been looking at some classes that extends RunBase. I found that
these have implemented the

Jack,
In most cases, I would allow negative financial inventory. I say this because not allowing it would hold up the issue of items that for example had been packing slip updated on a purchase order but not invoiced. If production or sales needed to issue the items they could not until a/p

Hi Brandon,
there are some methods on the table object SalesTable which are fired each time
a record is created. Maybe you want to overwrite the insert() method and do
your export here after the super() call. To do so, you coulod use a
ODBCConnection (see help in System documentation).
hth,
As I remember, the upgrade of SQL-Server 7 to SQL 2000 did not work so well.
So I would install SQL 2000 on the new machine, backup the old DB on SQL 7 and
restore it on the new one. Of course you must set the owner for the restored DB.
