This one has me totally flummoxed! I’ve got the names of the ancestors involved but; the format and specific words in this document are new to me and I’ve not been able to figure much of it out. Does anyone have the format of this time period written out? I think the couple is related but;

Can anyone tell me what this website is about? I think it has something to do with Associacao Dos Amigos Da Torre Do Tombo, I know Torre Do Tombo is the genealogy research library in Lisbon as I have been and done research there. If I put in a family name it comes up at this Nos Portugueses

I only know of Dutra as a name from Josse van Huerter. He was Flemish, if memory serves me. In my research, I've never seen a priest mistake my Dutras for Duartes. Duarte is a separate, distinct name. That doesn't mean that an immigrant didn't change it or a priest may have erred. Cheri Mello
