to load an album I will receive a track count as a part of the
reply. I use this to iterate through the tracks of the album

That was it. After upgrading to perl 5.8.8 there have been no hangups
after an hour of rapid changes and loading.
One other hangup that is not really related, but it stops message flow
for a while. Seems it starts up again if I send some random
stop/start/load commands to the server:

I am running SqueezeCenter Version: 7.0 - 16955 - Windows XP - EN -
cp1252 and I am having trouble scanning a certain album. It looks like
scanner.exe cannot read the id tags from the files. Instead, the song
names show up as "Track 01", "Track 02" etc. except for tracks 13, 14

to build/install the missing libraries that the error log you posted

This might sound like an odd question, but...
Escient music servers, or was it iMerge had a function that let you
print all album artwork of your music collection so you could make a
binder over your collection. One might argue if this was a good feature
but I found another use of it:

I am still getting the "SqueezeCenter died. Restarting." messages with
even the latest version (17259)
Is it supposed to have been solved?

ClarkeConnect 4.2 by default is Perl 5.8.5, and will crash when using
CLI.
