I've started to get errors like this in the log when I try to open the
Song Info page in 7.4. The result is that it just opens an empty page
and no song information is shown.

I'm using WPA2-PSK and Mac filtering, does such things bog down
conection speed on devices with tiny cpu's.
Well it reaches 1500 but it's not constant.

I believe this is the correct behaviour.
There has been some discussion about having Squeezebox Server push the
applets back to the Controller after a firmware update, but I don't know
what the current thinking is at the moment.

I've been seeing the same problem as noted in this thread. I've just
updated to r7241 as well (and also did a factory reset just in case),
but still have the same problem:
- blank popup if selected from Now Playing, no matter the playlist type
(e.g. local playlist from My Music, a Pandora stream,
having updated to the latest testing build, it seems the cometd.pm
permissions issue persists. I have filed a bug report:

the data transfer?). Until now, Network Test showed a continuous 100% at
500kbps only, but with firmware 7241 I have a continuous 100% at
1500kbps!

Just updated to r4241. The popup works here most of the time, but
sometimes fails on the now playing screen (resulting in an empty box).

No problems here either. Running Transporter & Duet Box, box sync'd to
Transporter, FLAC files (over homeplug). My wife thinks there is a very
slight sync issue, but seems OK otherwise. No re-buffering, no spinning
wheels. Web UI OK. Loads playlist fine, displays art fine.
