Yes but do keep in mind that one can have multiple applications working
against the same playlist .
I do that sometimes using rythmbox to create and add to a playlist
later on I may add a song via the controller, with that wonderful
plugin or when it is in now playing.

you have m3u and pls files set as exceptions for the music scan ?
7.6 has an unfixed bug where exceptions for the music file scan carries
over to the playlist scan, so you can no longer ave this file exceptions
for music.

Btw the other odd errors could be when I try to ffwd while being
stuck in a playlist of unplayable files the fwd or rewerse does not
work.
I have to use the mouse or controller to chose another playable file.

I tried bitrate limiting this usually invokes both flac and lame as I
have many flac files.
24/96 to 24/48 uses SOX and flac .
I think I will try with ALAC and AAC and some other filetype setting.
But first I should try with a debug log output and attach to the bug
report.

This has now resolved itself with the latest upgrades to Touch and
Controller.
I can now shut down my server without problems again.
( IHad to disconnect the network cable during the shut-down phase
during the bug)

Everything recovers after the artwork stage, you with powerfull servers
may not see this effect so often or it will be very brief maybe un
noticed by you, maybe only when scanning a large amount of files.

On my CC4.2 linux installed with the rpm SQlite is the only working
alternative with 7.6 .
It also works really well, no scanning problems for me.
On the other hand MySQl wont work at all

effective the scan gets the more likely it is
to interrupt music. On my rather small server scanning for new and
changed always get everything to stop around the artwork scan .
So listen while scanning in new albums is no longer an option at least
on my not so fast machine.
