My LMS 7.9 and touch (using latest firmware) with EDO play through
COAX into a Cambridge audio Azur 640 surround receiver, that I use for
both music (from the touch) and multimedia.
Although I am quite pleased with the sound, the coaxial input is limited
to 24 bit / 96KHz.

Not even on all 7.9 installations there is a particular perl module
"audio scan" that must be of version 0.95 this is platform dependent CPU
OS etc it can still be 0.93 on some platforms ,,this can probably be
built and compiled on most platforms but...

Will the DSDPlayer plugin run on LMS 7.7.3? I do not see it on the list
of plugins.
I am thinking of trying out the Sonore microRendu in Squeezelite mode
but my MacBook is an old 32 bit machine and cannot be updated to newer
versions of LMS.

Just for the record, in a ReadyNas Ultra 4, DSDPlayer plugin folder goes
here:

And execute permissions have to be enabled for bin/i386-linux/dsdplay,
otherwise a message wrongly showing that the plugin is
DSDPlayer up & running again after moving the files manually inside the

I have been using the DSDPlayer plugin with no problem whatsoever in my
ReadyNas Ultra 4 for quite a long time.
Yesterday, I installed the Tidal plugin and, when doing that, I noticed
that DSD Player appeared on top of the plugin list, in the area reserved
for update warnings. It was disable

for windows, where the DSD stuff works without issues.
If would be great if at some point in time it would also work on

issue in combination with Synology. I don't know.
I never heard anyone reporting that this(DSD) is working with Synology.

I had thoughts in that direction myself. On my Synology I have installed
a static build of ffmpeg which includes SOX for use with MinimServer.
MinimServer could access SOX without problems once I told it where the
static build ffmpeg sits.

I installed LMS 7.9 on Nas QNAP TS-131 (ARM V7 architecture) and I
encountered the issue "DSDPlayer does not currently include a version of
dsdplay which supports your server". I suppose it is related there is no
available version of DSDPlayer for ARM architectures, as said into last

Finally found out why the files played with no sound. I had Pure Music
installed with some proxy files left over. The player was mistakenly

My DAC plays that files fine. Sometimes in the beginning I can hear some
noise. After that DSD displayed on indicator. If album less than 2GB I
convert it to one file. CUE file present as tags. Works fine. I'm happy

There is no way to listen DSD on ARM based LMS? It's so sad. I converted
DSD to PCM early. Now I want to listen DSD from one database, from one

What will I do to compile audio::scan to 0.95 version? I've got Synology
DS212+ with DSM 5.2-5592, LMS 7.9.0-1436276312 nightly on SSODS mod by
*pinkdot. *ipkg installed. I can install additionally Entware for new
library versions.
This thread's gone kind of quiet, but wanted to pipe in to say that I
JUST got LMS 7.9 with DSD support working, and it is AWESOME. The fact
that I can get native support of DSF files and also stream Tidal music
puts LMS up there with solutions like the Auralic Aries IMO. And for a
LOT less money.

If the answer would be "Yes" then the following question
Actually playing DSD on a Squeezebox Touch won't do much good compared
to the PCM version (24/96 or 24/192) . This is because LMS will
transcode DSD to PCM anyway. You need to have a DSD DAC in order to hear
the real benefit.

Hi all. Like others I'm in the boat of having the wrong version of the
perl Audio::Scan module (0.93). I installed the LMS 7.9 on my
Readynas102. Does anyone with knowledge of Readynas products have some
advice as to how to update my Audio::Scan module to 0.95? Apologies for
my noobyness - I'm fir

It's the Audio::Scan perl module (as mentioned in one of my first
postings). This needs to be 0.95.
So how does one go about installing 0.95? If I search for "perl
audio::scan" I only find 0.93.
Clone the following:
https://github.com/Logitech/slimserver-vendor/tree/public/7.9/CPAN
Then run

Hi all,
I'm a little confused about settings in DSDPlay, LMS file type and
resampling in custon-convert.conf.
In LMS Setting/Advanced/File Type I have
DFF DFF Native/Disbaled
FLACdsdPlay/Sisabled
FLACdsdPlay/Sisabled
and
DSF DSF Native
