With no other reference managers currently supporting Microsoft Word
2008 (to my knowledge), I thought this would be a good time to release
an AppleScript project I've been pecking away at for a while. It is a
set of two AppleScripts that provide BibDesk integration with
Microsoft Word 2004
Whoa! That was fast.
There is now a bibdesk wiki at wikia.
I have not done anything to edit it. However, we now have a wiki that
is MW1.12 and free if the community wants it. Obviously, I would open
it up to the current wiki folks so you can migrate content, if that
is what you want to do.
Perhaps I am too bold, but I just went ahead and put in a request for
the wikia URL
http://bibdesk.wikia.com
Wikia is a free wiki hosting domain. Wikia supports the most recent
Mediawiki versions. That is unsurprising, given that it was started
by Mediawiki's inventor, Jimmy Wales. It looks

It's on Leopard. It's pretty rare but it does occur
Well, well. Sourceforge is really on the cutting edge I see. They
might be interested to know that php.net discontinued support for
PHP4 at the end of 2007. That might have something to do with the
fact that PHP5 had its first stable release in July, 2004, five
months before the last time S

I wonder if they have an open RFE for that? Even if they do, it could be year
Yep. Thanks, Rob, for the offer of help, but if MW needs upgraded
PHP/SQL stack, we just have to wait around for SF to get to it.
One other thing to consider is SF now has a hosted wiki option for
projects - I'm not sure how easy it'd be to move over, as it's not MW,
but it's something to consider
This is strange, and I cannot reproduce it. Is this on Tiger? It could
be a system bug. The spinner overlay should automatically resize with
the preview area (and it does os for me).

Unfortunately PHP is provided to us by SourceForge, the only thing we
can do is file enhancement requests to upgrade to PHP 5. Same for SQL.

In my experience, the wiki upgrade itself is indeed very easy. I just
checked your version information though and I see that you are
running against PHP4 and MySQL 4, as would be expected with MW1.4.
MySQL4 is ok, though I believe MySQL5 is preferable at this point.
PHP4 is a non-starter
A small black square or line sometimes appears in BD. It appears when
the TeX preview pane at the bottom of the main window is reduced in
size to a height of 0. It looks like it's the spinner indicating that
the preview is being formed, appearing against a black background. If
you look real
Hi Andrei,
Please file a bug report using the link on BibDesk's Help menu. The
crashes list was used for an automatic crash catcher, but sourceforge broke
the mail mechanism we used; that list should not be visible.
Here's a link to the tracker. Remember to include console output and note

Hi,
Sorry for an obvious FAQ (I searched the bibdesk-users archive but
the results were mixed):
How does one report Bibdesk crashes?
I just sent a crash log to [EMAIL PROTECTED], but
there seem no messages on the list's archive after July 2007. Is
that list discontinued?
Would it make se
