for the crash.
However, perhaps one might take a look at what happened yesterday first.
Best regards

guess I have to look at console.log inside
Console, correct? It only shows me entries starting from this morning
(when I booted the machine after it crashed last night). Is there a
way to make it show older entries?

Hi Christian,
this log does not exist on my machine.
console.log does not show any items from last night; system.log does
not show anything peculiar.
Holger
reason is that I
am still on 10.4.10, though ... which I will in any case fix tomorrow.
I will post again to the list in case the net crash happens.

What could I be doing wrong?

Hello everybody,
I have a problem associated with the changes in linking to files in
combination with how I used to deal with it (.e., not a problem with
BibDesk itself). I would like to get some suggestions on how I can
change or improve my procedures to adapt to the new way.
Some
folder (= path in local-
url) is a UNIX symlink in my home directory to a folder on another
partition (because group rw permissions) on our server. :-) Fun, eh?
Let me repeat the conversion procedure (tomorrow) now that I know a
bit better what is happening.

You understood me correctly, but I described it a bit wrong: the
symlink goes to
nfs:/home/ourgroupfolder/papers
which (I think) is on the same partition, not a different one. I am
not sure, though.

unchecked that option (whysoever).
In any case, yes, the local-url fields are also empty.
But, as I said earlier, I will do the conversion again tomorrow,
starting from the old file. I will let you know what I did exactly and
what happened.

Hi Adam,
I don't understand this complaint (and regardless of the disclaimer
below, it is a complaint). How could you see the PDF file before
without selecting or opening it? If you're thinking of drag-and-drop
from the main table, add a Local File column and drag the paperclip
or click on
Hi Adam,
I just downloaded the recent nightly build in order to try the
SciFinder import ... which brought uip the problem that, in fact, I
do not know how to import a file to BibDesk at all. I tried Open,
Open with Filter (where I was lost), I tried to dragdrop,
copypaste, and I tried
