Hi Birders, Hans VanderZweep and I observed a peregrine falcon yesterday on
Pemberton RD. about 1 km. south from Highway 31. Take highway 31 to Winchester
and go south on Pemberton Rd. A large female peregrine was on a pile of roots
and branches off the west side of the road. good birding, Bob
Hi Birders, Hans VanderZweep and I saw several shoebirds in the Williamsburg
Lagoons yesterday. We observed 3 short-billed dowagers, 6 greater yellowlegs,
12 semi-palmated sandpipers,10 spotted sandpipers and a half dozen killdeer.
The cell closest to the road is very low in water and makes for
ducklings..To get to
the Lagoons, go east through Alfred and turn right on Peat Moss Rd. The Lagoon
entrance is about one km. south. Good birding, Bob Scranton

To get to Richmond Drive, take Power Dam Dr. exit off the 401 coming from the
west and follow it to the stoplight on highway #2 ( Vincent Massey DR.). Turn
right. There is no exit from the 401 on Power Dam Dr. from the east. You will
have to exit at Brookdale, turn south, then

Lagoon, go to Casselman and take Laurin St. Go about 1 K and
you will see the entry to the Lagoons on the right.
St. Alberts Lagoons had very few shore birds left after an abundance the
last few weeks, just a few yellowlegs and least sandpipers and a couple of
kildeer. Bob Scranton

start making their way to the roost around 6:45 and straggle in for the next

To get to Richmond, exit 401 east at Power Dam Dr. and come to the traffic
light on Vincent Massey ( old highway #2). Turn right and drive 2 kilometers to
Richmo
see an entry to the marsh. Walk out to the disused rail line and stroll through
the Marsh from an elevated view. Great for photography. Bob Scranton

This morning at our home on Peter St. in Cornwall, we had our first
rose-breasted grosbeaks along with a pair of male white-crowned sparrows. It

Hi Birders, sorry, I neglected to include driving instructions. It is near
Cornwall. The directions follow.
To get to this area from the west, take highway 401 and exit at Power Dam
Dr. ( You can't exit Power Dam Dr. coming from the east.) Go south to the
old Highway #2 which is now called V
to the Sod Farms, go south out of Casselman. At the first sharp
right, you will see the Manderlay sod Farms sign. Turn left to the Sod Farms.
