I heard and caught a brief glimpse of a Worm-eating on concession E just east
of #1503. It was moving east along the south side of the creek. Also had
Ovenbird, Canada and Wilson's Warbler in the vicinity.

Concession E is the last left before the

Bluebird, Caspian and Common Terns, Purple Martin and Cliff Swallows. Many
Baltimore Orioles as the Islands don't disappoint with that species.

us with a pleasant day with temperatures between 17 and 21 degrees and light

The Yellow Rail is calling now just a few feet north of the bridge at the Sedge
Wren marsh on Wylie Road. Also further north on Wylie were 6 American
Woodcocks, 7 each of Common Nighthawk and Whippoorwill. The night is not over

A beautiful sunny day on the Islands for 27 friendly OFO members today. We had
temperatures of 16-18 degrees and winds changing to the west up to 35 km/hr. We
managed to find quite a lot of bird activity; especially in the morning on
Ward's. Species total for the day was 93. Be

here. I had an ADULT Mississippi Kite fly over heading north at 6pm. At the
time I was standing just behind the washrooms at the Sanctuary. I realize the

to Gibb Street, turn left. Then left on Waverly and park at the dead end and
walk through the small park to the houses and check that area. Hoary & Common

About an hour ago I had a Pine Warbler singing at Scarborough Golf Course. I
haven't noticed any being reported as of yet. The bird was in conifers around

Directions: You can access Fallowfield road from the east via Highway 16
(Prince of Wales) or from the west via the 416. Woodroffe runs from Carling
Avenue to Highway 16. FYI: be careful if you do need to stop in this area. It

Richmond road at Carling). Continue down Britannia road to Cassels road, turn
right and continue onto the entrance to the woods. The ridge is on the n
8 of both Pied-Billed Grebe and Ruddy
Duck in the water. Brown Thrasher and Wood Thrush also in the area.
