Seen from the viewing stand looking over the bay - at least one Little Gull
with half a dozen Bonaparte's. Very obvious dark underwings with white tips,
smaller than nearby Bonaparte's Gulls.
ID'd through binos but confirmed in the scope.

Rd. Turn south off of Lakeshore immediately west of the large excavation.

streaming in that wind coming right off the Lake Erie ice floes.

There is an adult Bald Eagle picking at the carcass of an unknown creature in
the middle of Reesor Pond. The pond is completely iced iced over; there are no
ducks or geese in sight.
Reesor Pond is in eastern Markham at the corner of Reesor Rd and Hwy 7, just
north of the 407.

Ravenshoe Rd. is near the southern-most tip of Lake Simcoe. Go north on Hwy
404, which is now open all the way to Woodbine. North

locate the juv. Black-crowned.

north to the Canal Road interchange, and turning sharply south along
Wist Rd for a kilometre or so, then left on Woodchoppers. Or follow
Hwy 9 to the intersection with Keele St. and turn north on Keele,
then left on to Woodchoppers.

Warblers I saw: Yellow-rumped, Palm, Nashville, Pine, and the Blue-
