Some USB devices draw power from the USB connection. Consider the total
power draw from all of the devices. Drawing too much power can cause
problems with your computer.
There are unpowered USB Hubs that are convenient for low power devices
like keyboards. There are also powered USB Hubs

I have a memory that somebody mentioned a program which would ensure that
programs stay maximized.
Since I discovered that minimized applications were driving me mad I would
like to ensure that things stay maximized.

Using Jaws 12 and XP how do I list files by date rather than in alphabetical
order?
I keep going around in circles.
I was sure I found it on the archive but can't re-locate the information.
NiamhPS since using the archive I realise the important of making the
subject line clear. Sorry
I see you understand my point, good deal and thank you.

Hi,
Here is what I do. There may be a better and easier way.
I open the folder and route Jaws to PC. Then I arrow up until I here
name. I then do insert+numPad6 until I hear date modified. I move the
cursor to modified and left click on the NumPad. This will sort in
date order in ascending
Other than typing the information: Is there a way to insert the present into a
non-excel document? A word document, to be precise.

Cliff, I'm going to presume that you meant the present date; use the
CNTRL+, key sequence for the date - if it's the current time then type
CNTRL+.
Hello
Since my post last night I have had a couple of replies including one to my

The one to my email address has passed on a post that was overlooked for
some reason
This went on to say that I e 9 was unsupported and people were advised not
to download install and use it .

view menu, arrow down to, arrange by, press enter, , modify, will be in
this list as you arrow down. Hope this helps. Take care.

Cliff,
My sincerest apologies, the key sequences I offered were incorrect. The
correct key sequences (for Excel) are:
current date - CONTROL+;
current Time - CONTROL+SHIFT+;
Lest those lines are confusing, the basic sequence is to use the control key
along with the semi-colon key,
Oh! I thought it was an Excel question so I gave you the key sequences for

I have not tried it on my system, but I suspect if you uninstall IE9,
then the system will revert to IE8.

Niamh,
First off, nobody has specified how you are displaying the files of which
you speak.
I will assume that you are displaying that list in the list view of
windows explorer.
If this assumption is inaccurate, all the following is possibly inaccurate.
At the top of the list of files is a line
Either way Donny, just like our fearless leaderDave says, if it ain't broke,
don't fix it.
If you're running IE 8 and there are no problems, than it's more than likely
a good bet that you should leave well enough alone. Smiles.
