actually it may be possible with a custom install of the earlier office set,
using something like office 2003 alpha (a name not expected by so not used
in the 2010's install and over write functions) and then installing office
2010 with its standard setup you may be able to put both on one machine,
I found something here for you, but still recommend sticking to one version
of office on your computer and avoid tacky situations...

fine, with Office 2010 and it just created a disaster. I finally had
to totally uninstall both and then just install Office 2010 which then
