I am working on Lab 5A , page 358/ 360 of the proctor guides says use the
HQ gateway, I can see from the diagram that it is the H323 gateway.
The only H323 gateway that was configured from the earlier part of the lab
was the CME BR2 gateway.

from CCME I have an H.323 GK to CUCM 7 to a SCCP phone on CUCM.
When I call from the SIP CCME phone to the CUCM phone, it rings... I
can answer it, but I still hear ring back on the SIP phone... and the
call drops after a bit.

So, I have an ext on a SIP phone on CCME and an ext on a SCCP phone...
BLF works from SCCP to SIP, but not the other way around (the SIP
phone can monitor the SCCP ext, but the SCCP phone cannot see the SIP
ext...)
SIP phone is a 7961, SCCP phone is a 7965...

I have installed it but it not happy with the demo license file..

They've fixed the auto-license generation request system for Unity
Connection 7.0 at www.cisco.com/go/license. It does require a MAC
address, but it gives you a 90-day license for 8 VM ports, something
like 50 subscribers, etc.

The call works fine H.323 to SIP, just not the other way...

Do you set up LDAP to point to CUCM?
Cuz I cannot search for users in DC Directory (CUCM) for CUPC am I
missing something?

Well, I have CUCM 7 and CUPS 7 and I want to be able to query CUCM for
users from CUPC (so I can add users, etc...)
CUCM is NOT AD integrated, and I want to set up CUPS to point at CUCM...

Please check your members ares to make sure you have the Proctor Guide for
Labs 2A and 2B.

I think it all boils down to the fact that the SIP phone doesn't take all of
its orders from a 3rd party like a SCCP phone does. In saying that I have
not spent much time actually finding out what the "setmwi" application does
but I would hazard a guess that it does not send a NOTIFY message.

I don't see a load initial config for labs above 6. I would assume we
use lab 6 for lab 6 and all labs after, but it didn't jump out and bite

My understanding was that beyond that everything built off the previous lab.
That may have just been for UCM though.

1). You can purchase (hard costs) a DVD version (approx $75).
2). You can send you HD back and include a shipping label (you cover
shipping both ways - costs will depend on location).
3). You can pay for a new HD with the new copy already installed
