Ran into this just the other day. USBank has a list of pending transactions. By their definition, pending == not posted granted, if all the transactions shown as pending had posted I would have been short by a serious amount, *but* they didn't post and I got charged anyway. to the tune of $32

I see it this way:  IP/functional patents, especially for web technologies, are being abused - that much is inarguable.  Maybe if this Eolas boondoggle is overturned, it will open more of these things up for more reasonable scrutiny.  Even more judicious investigation of prior art by the USTPO.
