They do last a heck of a lot longer than the first Logitech wireless optical - that thing ate through batteries.  And replacements can be found at pretty much any store with a good rechargeable selection: Radio Shack, Best Buy, Staples, etc. I do dislike having an outlet brick just for my mouse
