I've never seen major bumps from going to faster disks, I've got servers with 10k drives and servers with 15k drives and I've never seen any change. I would go with 4 gig, hell, I'd go with more if you can find a board that will support it. I'd also consider SCSI drives over SATA. A couple u320 14

OK, I am finally going to break down and get a new desktop system at home. My trusty Athlon XP 2500+ has seen its best days. It still works fine but it feels dog slow for development, especially when I run CFMX in developer mode and a db server on it at the same time. So what should I get and when
