I worked briefly at ETS for a 6 week internship during my first

Although not a test for teachers
My GF was correcting CMT (Connecticut Mastery Tests) last year. At the
time, she was not trained for this (yet), so was making a few educated
guesses. She made the mistake of asking my opinion on a few things and we
got into multiple fights over it.

This somehow does not surprise me. I live in Lawrence(unfortunately) and the
high school I graduated from, Lawrence High lost it's accreditation for
passing students who couldn't read and write english, I'm sure there were
other issues also. The city as a whole is a mess and never seems to get any
unity

really... it's not important that the superintendant can't pass the test
but gee we fail kids who can't... Either the test measures what it is
supposed to or not. Offhand looks to me like not.
