When I took the combat engineering course during my time with the
Canadian Armed Forces, I was very familiar with how effective RDX is.
We destroyed an old Sherman Tank with only about 5 pounds of the
stuff.

Sammy,
How many American soldiers and civilians will be killed by that "decimal dust"?
Is that the Bush Administrations latest lie? that 380,000 tons of high explosives in
the hands of terrorists is "no big deal".
Even at his worst, Saddam never put 380,000 tons of high explosives in the hands
You missed the point. They think ther was 1 millin
tons. They got most of it and already destroyed at
least ten times what was believed to exist.
So 380 tons is a very small amount in comparison.
But you bring up a good point. Why did the UN leave
them there?

For me the issue is that this was an IAEA tagged site and therefore
the Pentagon should know
Since it would take 1 lb. of the stuff to down a commercial airliner I don't think 380
tons should be considered insignificant.

it's pretty easy to get a negative opinion about Bush though. Someone

ROTFL - It would interesting to have Won do a Monte Carlo simulation
on the mean number of posts to Hitler. By observation I'd say on this
list it's about 40.

Surprisingly, no. This is because I'm fascinated with the reasoning
behind voting for Mr. Bush and I can't get enough of hearing about it.

That tells me that the Pentagon didn't have enough troops in country
to cover IAEA sites so Al Qaqaa became a lower priority.

Yeah, good point.
On the funnier side, I've heard many people comment that the latest
Bush spin seems to be, "Hey if you think Bush is bad, Kerry is worse!"
The funny thing is, while the righties are spinning "Bush is all knowing"
like you said, the lefty spin is quite different. You don't see many lefties
saying "Kerry is all knowing!". Their spin is generally also pointed at
Bushmostly "Bush is all wrong".
As for blindly followingI don't kno
I thought someone had a good comment last night.
After Mayor Rudy's comments yesterday blaming the soldiers on the ground for the loss
of the weapons, this was the comment:
"Finally, someone brave enough to support the war but not support the troops."
Funny.
