I have used it daily for years, and love it but I'm going to have to
move on to something else the version I have is old and I can't afford
to upgrade. I might be able to afford the monthly subscription if I
sweet talk the boy toy into paying for it.

I think this is something born from the whole cloud computing business model
in that:
1. You pay for what you use, if you only use it 2 months out of the year,
then only get it those two months
2. You can scale up a large team for (n) months for a big project and
scale back down when its comp
