I'd say either a screw up at the factory,someone's replaced a fender and not the emblem or one's not really a factory 454 car. The SS could be had with either a 402, 350-4,350-2 or a 454 in 71. The SS-454 was a different order code and got the 454 emblem as well. Goes back to gotta get the

I used the yellow top battery for my application. I have a 70 El Camino that I installed a complete engine and transmission out of a 1992 Camaro Z28. 5.7 Vin '8' and a 4L60 trans. Was able to get complete access to everything needed from radiator to gas tank. The yellow top is a deep cycle
