Edelbrock manifold, and they suggested either permatex or teflon tape. Since

I agree Dave. As long as you're there, replace it. Except maybe the
pitman arm. Suspension and brakes are two things you definitely don't
want to scrimp on. Other mechanical parts may break and leave you
stranded, anything here breaks and it can kill you.

Tie-rod sleeves may technically last, but if you're gonna replace the inner
and outer tie-rods, the sleeves are definitely the cheapest of the three and
then makes everything brand-new. What's the point of replacing all the
other parts and tying it all together with 30+ year old fasteners?

Centerlinks have wear joints at the idler and pitman arms. They don't seem
to wear out that often on Chevelles, but will over time, especially after 35

adjusting the valves while the motor's running is to cut through the top
of an old valve cover, to give you access to the rocker bolts. That's
what I've been doing for the last couple of years, works great, and is

shop for a front end alignment and 2 new tires. The
mechanic called and said that the car needs a
centerlink, pitman arm, idler arm, inner and outer tie
rods and sleeves..
I looked in my Summit
The fact that it had a cage and that I was still
restoring the car turned them away. Thankfully though,
I found out that my regular provider quoted me wrong,
and it will only be $120/yr with them.
