have a Holley Carb with a vacuum choke? If so, check the diaphragm. Same for the
vacuum advance on the distributor. You don't have to disassemble them. Put a
piece of vacuum hose on and (OK I have to be crude here) --- suck. Does it

will be in the springs under the seat bottom or behind the plastic seat

I agree, paint it, especially if you have it out of the car. Find the correct finish,
try to clean the spots just in case it is something that will eat through the paint.
They come out very well and no one will know unless you tell them. Believe me, a lot
of cars at shows have thier grill

with a spring under it behind the dash. Compress the button and pull your knob
and shaft out. Then you can unscrew the bezel with whatever you can fit into the
slots. I made a tool from an old socket, but a snap ring plier will work too.
