use the stock spindle. Check with In Line Tube they had a nice set up at the

not that you have to adjust them often, it's just a lot more time consuming when
you do. Since the adjusting nut is on the end of the rocker vs being on
the stud, the engine can't be running while you make the adjustments.

Absolutely. You can borrow a compressor from an auto store, the compressed springs have too much stored energy to do without. It can be done without but its much more dangerous.

Yes, Larry. Be super careful. Compress it down "some"!
to the point where it's loose. Loosen the Castle nut
on the upper Ball Joint. Bang on the spindle and it
will fall off the taper. Finish the loosening and
remove the spring. Immediately un-tension the spring.
