If you mean the switching (BCMSN) exam, the only reference that i found for
LANE was in the trunking protocols... In the study guide, there is a table
mentioning the different protocols (isl, 802.1Q, 802.10 and, of course
LANE).
But i doubt one is supposed to know how LANE works.

However, when one has a look at the course outline of the recommended
training's CID course, there are additional topics not covered in the book,
namely VPN and AVVID. Does that mean that one should expect to be questioned
on these subjects?

anyway, time is plentyfull. No case studies, nor "Enter the command to..."
type of questions.
