Any of you that have used ipsec with the Cisco box,
Friend,
What you are trying to do is not hard, but, you need to go through a few
steps.
I imagine you have an MSFC card inside...
- Do a show modules and check if you can see it in slot 15 (and if it is in
state ok)
- Try doing a session 15 (you should get to the router prompt on the MSFC
-
to make it work now. If now, I will
email back.
Can I email you directly.

Friends,
I think I remember having two options on what studygroup to join for the
CCIE preparation... One of them was meant for people who had already passed
the CCIE written and had a date for the Lab Exam. Is this correct? Is there
such studygroup? I learn a lot from the messages posted here,
James,
Just create an access-list and then apply it as an "access-class" in your
virtual terminals. Remember to add the "login" and "password" statements
also..

The way we implement it is pretty easy...
Just run fibre from one building to another, and terminate it with SC
connectors. (I like them better than ST) in a fibre box. From there you just
need to run a patch MT-RJ -- SC from the Box to the core 6509. ( you will
have to purchase small MT-RJ
The prot in the controller works perfectly!
you should not worry... it is just an FE port.

Has anyone ever used the RJ-45 port on the I/O controller on a 7206 to
actually pass traffic?
I'm
Manolito..
The key component here is that you will be using the VPN Client...
I have been working with the VPNClient 3000, and it is amazing. (better than
the old client Cisco used to provide--IRE/SafeNet).
The only setting you will need is to allow IPSec through NAT in order for
it to
Friend,
IPSec and NAT work fine with the PIX's and also with the Concentrators.
It is an easy setup, but you have to get used to the NAT 0 command and
access-lists.
Let me know if you run into any issues, I might be able to help.

I've seen it happen also in the 3500'sXL.
I would be very careful with the console connection... Sometimes they just
reboot if you plug the cable... or if you change settings in the
hyperterminal.
I have also seen them die quite a few times, so, I don't recommend them for
any important
Nops, nothing yet.
I have been checking also the tracking system since it is faster than
snail-mail.
Easy test, don't you think?

Good Job Fabian!
Now, for the CCIE, besides a lot of hands-on, you might want to try the
Cisco Certification from Caslow. (Make sure it is the second edition).
Cheers,

I had one problem once with a PPP Multilink Interface, three T1's between
two buildings... everything fine, but, I could not see anything on CDP.
The Solution was very easy, a "clear interface" ( on the virtual one) solved
it.
Good luck.

I have not taken that one, but I took the Beta VPN (90%!) It was a hard
test since it covers everything (Concentrators, PIX, Routers, Certificates,
and PFM).
I have a lot of respect for the People in Cisco doing the new security
tests, they are not as easy as the new CCNP2.0 tests. So, I asume
the headers in frames/packets. You will understand a lot about
Ethernet /Token Ring and all about TCP/UDP ports. I have "Inside TCP/IP"
from Siyan it is an awsomw reference book also.
Good Luck,
let us know how your interviews go.
