To all, I have a friend who is going to take his CIT test on Friday. He has studied the Cisco press CIT book and read it cover to cover. He purchased the self test software that is on Cisco's page and is averaging 80-90 on most tests. He would like to know how close the self tests software

To All, I have a friend who has a CCNA and its about to expire. He has three tests completed out of the four toward his CCNP. If his CCNA certification expires, can he take the final test and be a CCNP with a expired CCNA. What is Cisco's policy concerning this? Mike Message Posted at:

To all, I know this subject has been talked about on a workstation level but I want to ask it on a network level. We recently replaced our Nortel network with Cisco switches and we seem to have a slowness level across the network at certain times. We have a raging debate on what speed to set

You need to check the clock coming out of the CSU with a frequency counter or you can use a scope if you can do the conversion. Make sure you are not confusing 512Kb line with a 128kb data throughput. Mike Marakalas 01/08/03 05:59AM Hi All, How does one check the clocking that is provided

To All, Another confusing thing about DTE DCE as it relates to RS232. There are various pins on RS232 that are either inbound or outbound depending upon whether it is DTE or DCE. For example, Pin 2 is transmit data out from a DTE device and transmit data in on a DCE device. Pin 3 is receive

Rajagopal, I've worked in the telecom field for many years and DCE and DTE can be very confusing. DCE and DTE primarily depends upon your point of perspective. If you have a modem, CSU or DSU that generate clock to a particular piece of equipment, they are all called a DCE device. The
